1. Penurious 
Meaning:  lacking money; excessively unwilling to spend, not having enough money to pay for necessities.
Synonyms: parsimonious, hard up, impecunious, in straitened circumstances, penniless, pinched
Sentence: Warren Buffett, famous multi-billionaire, still drives a cheap sedan, not because he is penurious, but because luxury cars are gaudy and impractical.

2. Ponderous 
 Meaning: having great mass and weight and unwieldiness
Synonyms: heavy, lumbering
Sentence: Laden with 20 kilograms of college textbooks, the freshman moved ponderously across the campus.

3. Expunge 
 Meaning: to eliminate completely; remove by erasing or crossing out or as if by drawing a line.
Synonyms: excise, scratch, strike
Sentence: When I turned 18, all of the shoplifting and jaywalking charges were expunged from my criminal record.

4. Interlocutor 
Meaning: a person who takes part in a conversation.
Synonyms: conversational partner
Sentence: The government’s interlocutor(middle man), R.N. Ravi, confirmed to a local daily that the August 3 agreement was indeed a ‘framework agreement’.

5. Hitherto 
Meaning: used in negative statement to describe a situation that has existed up to this point or up to the present time.
Synonyms: as yet, heretofore, so far, thus far, til now, until now, up to now, yet
Sentence: Before John learned to fly an airplane, he had hitherto been afraid of heights. 

6. Diabolic 
Meaning: showing the cunning or ingenuity or wickedness typical of a devil.
Synonyms: devilish, diabolical, 
Sentence: An idle mind is a Diabolic's workshop.

7. Rancour 
Meaning:  a feeling of deep and bitter anger and ill-will.
Synonyms: bitterness, gall, rancor, resentment, reprisal.
Sentence:  Although my friend betrayed me, I have no rancor towards him.

8. Expatriate 
Meaning: a person who is voluntarily absent from home or country.
Synonyms: exile, expat
Sentence: The poet was exiled because he signed a letter protesting the government's actions.

9. chicanery 
Meaning:  the use of tricks to deceive someone (usually to extract money from them).
Synonyms: chicane, guile, trickery, wile
Sentence: You can smell the chicanery from a dishonest politician like Lalu And Mulayam.

10. Retreat 
Meaning: the act of withdrawing or going backward (especially to escape something hazardous or unpleasant)
Sentence: the disorderly retreat of Pakistani troops in Kargil war.

1.prelude
Meaning: an action or event serving as an introduction to something more important.
Synonym: preliminary, overture, opening, preparation
Antonym:conclusion, postscript

2.premonition
Meaning: a strong feeling that something is about to happen, especially something unpleasant.

Meaning: the quality or fact of being greater in number, quantity, or importance.

5.prerogative
Meaning: a right or privilege exclusive to a particular individual or class.

6.presage
Meaning: be a sign or warning of (an imminent event, typically an unwelcome one)., an omen or portent.
Synonym: augur, foreshadow, foretell, prophesy,

7.prestige
Meaning: widespread respect and admiration felt for someone or something on the basis of a perception of their achievements or quality.

8.presumptuous
Meaning:(of a person or their behavior) failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate.
Synonym: brazen, overconfident, arrogant, egotistical,

9.pretentious
Meaning: attempting to impress by affecting greater importance or merit than is actually possessed.
